These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Ufuq, including ufuq.tn, the Ufuq account workspace, related APIs, and features for discovering internships, organizing opportunities, tracking applications, and preparing resumes. By creating an account or using Ufuq, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who may use Ufuq

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into these Terms. If you use Ufuq on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Ufuq complies with the laws, university rules, employer requirements, and application processes that apply to you.

Your account

Keep your login credentials confidential and provide accurate, current account information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must notify us promptly if you believe someone has accessed it without permission. We may ask you to verify account ownership before providing support or acting on an account request.

Using the service

Ufuq is a private workspace that helps candidates collect, compare, and prepare for opportunities. It is not a recruiter, employer, school, immigration adviser, legal adviser, or guarantee of an interview, internship, offer, visa, compensation, or employment outcome. Listings, application instructions, deadlines, and employer information can change; you are responsible for checking them with the original source before acting.

Some features may be subject to reasonable usage limits, rate limits, source availability, or technical constraints. We may change, pause, or discontinue features when necessary to operate, secure, improve, or comply with legal obligations for the service.

Acceptable use

You may not use Ufuq to:

• break the law or infringe another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
• submit content, links, documents, or data that you do not have the right to use;
• harass, defraud, impersonate, harm, or exploit another person, including a minor;
• circumvent access controls, rate limits, security measures, or account restrictions;
• scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, interfere with, or automate access to Ufuq except through features we explicitly make available; or
• use Ufuq to make high-risk automated decisions about another person's employment, education, housing, credit, healthcare, or legal rights.

We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or restrict access when we reasonably believe these Terms, another person's rights, or the security of the service is at risk.

Your content and workspace data

You retain the rights you have in the information and documents you submit to Ufuq, such as search preferences, notes, resume material, application records, and links. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service for you.

You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the permissions needed to submit it. Do not upload passwords, one-time codes, sensitive documents you do not want stored in your workspace, or another person's private information unless you have an appropriate legal basis to do so. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

AI-assisted features and results

Some Ufuq features may use automated or AI-assisted systems to help summarize information, suggest resume improvements, compare a resume with an opportunity, or organize work. These results are generated from patterns and may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Review every result before relying on it, publishing it, submitting an application, or making a decision.

As between you and Ufuq, we do not claim ownership of output generated in your workspace. That does not guarantee that output is unique, accurate, available for copyright protection, or free of third-party rights. You remain responsible for checking the final content, respecting the terms of any source you use, and ensuring that your application materials are truthful.

Third-party services and sources

Ufuq may display or link to information from external job boards, employer career sites, email providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, document tools, and AI providers. Those services are independent from Ufuq and may have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control, endorse, or guarantee third-party content, availability, application processes, or outcomes.

Fees and changes

Unless we state otherwise in writing, Ufuq is provided without a charge. If we introduce paid features, we will present the applicable pricing and any additional terms before a charge is due. We may update these Terms when the service, law, or our practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use after the update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Termination

You may stop using Ufuq at any time. To request access to, export of, or deletion of account data, contact us through the contact page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Ufuq or others, or if we must do so to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, will survive.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UFUQ DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND SECURITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OPPORTUNITY, AI-ASSISTED RESULT, OR THIRD-PARTY INFORMATION WILL BE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSE.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ufuq and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, opportunities, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of Ufuq. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of 100 Tunisian dinars or the amount you paid to Ufuq for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so these limits apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply where you live, disputes related to these Terms will be brought before the competent courts of Tunis, Tunisia.
